Managing your emotions

Managing your emotions during an important speech is crucial for delivering your message effectively.
Here are 3 tips to help you navigate this process in addition to a good preparation, subject of another post.

1 ✅ When rehearsing your speech weeks before the event, visualize yourself successfully delivering it with the audience applauding at the end. This mental exercise helps associate success with all aspects of your speech, from preparation to delivery.

2 ✅ Focus on your breathing. Taking deep breaths before speaking lowers CO2 levels in your lungs, slows your heartbeat, and promotes calmness and clarity in your mind.

3 ✅ Shift your mindset. Instead of viewing public speaking as a daunting task, consider it as a friendly conversation where you share valuable information. This paradigm shift can transform your approach to speaking in public.
