The over-reliance on PowerPoint presentations in business communication was a topic of
discussion in a recent article. The author highlights the diminishing
ability of managers worldwide to address audiences without visual aids,
even for routine presentations.
The article argues that using unnecessary visual aids can dilute the human
impact and success of a presentation. I concur with this perspective and
stress the importance of speaking authentically and passionately to
drive change in business contexts with my clients.
In my experience, enriching direct communication with knowledge,
storytelling, and personal experiences is key to achieving success in
business. It's about connecting on a human level, where the essence of
the message resonates without the need for PowerPoint slides.
